The Mandarin Mustangs ran wild on the Creekside Knights in Week 1 of the regular season. Mustangs avenged a 1 point loss from the previous season to Creekside. Mustangs 6-2, District Championship next!

Mandarin Plays For District Title Friday October 25!
The Mandarin Mustangs are scheduled for a District Championships showdown Friday with the Oakleaf Knights. Coach Cam's secondary has been stingy through 8 games. Only 5 Touchdown passes surrendered through 8 games and teams are averaging less than 75 passing yards a game. The Defensive Backs have 8 interceptions on the season thus far and will look to capitalize further on Friday. Elite production from the group has propelled the defense to an average of 6 points per game given up. The Oakleaf Knights come in to the game Friday averaging 35 points per game. The Mustang secondary and entire defense will be challenged.

DISTRICT CHAMP MUSTANGS EYES ROUND 1!
The Mandarin Mustangs secured the district championship and have their eyes set on the postseason. The secondary finished the regular season with surrendering 5.5 points per game through the air. Only 4 out of 10 regular season opponents had success passing the ball for a touchdown. The Mustangs now prepare for a rematch in round 1 against the Oakleaf Knights whom they surrendered just 79 total passing yards to in their first matchup.
MUSTANGS GO DOWN RD. 1
In a highly anticipated district championship game rematch, the Mandarin Mustangs go down at home in the 1st round of the playoffs. The Mustangs had aspirations of making another state title game run but the injuries to key positions piled up over the season and became too much to overcome. The highly touted Mustang secondary did not perform its best, surrendering 2 passing touchdowns in the game in the first half. They shut out the Oakleaf Knights in the second half of the game but it was too late. Oakleaf prevailed 17-14 over the Mandarin Mustangs and ended the season in the first round. The Mustang secondary will lose 5-star safety Drake Stubbs and 3-star DB Jaylen Lewis, but will return the rest of the starting secondary next season. The unit will be a force to reckon with once again and will boast at least 3 division 1 players going into the next season.
